I was grateful they could fix my car as a drop in. As a single mom and the sole income in my home, transportation to work is crucial for my family. However, a customer shouldn't be charged for 2.5 hrs of labor when it takes an hour. Customers also shouldn't over hear your manager talking to the boss about a CO2 clearing that will cost them $100 and he wants permission to charge the customer $140. I trust Service Stree to do a great job and I bring my daughter's car there as well. We have been patrons since the store opened, but I don't feel that the pricing is accurate, fair and I've heard several conversations regarding upselling to customers. Service Street should build trust in their pricing as much as their quality of work. I would like to stay with the company, but will be shopping for pricing issues mentioned above.
If you'd like to call the store, I'd be happy to explain the reasoning behind the way labor is charged. It is charged the same at all auto repair facilities that I am aware of - we are no different in that respect. I would agree that you should not have to hear any discussions between my management staff regarding "markup" of our services. As a business, we must charge more than we pay for things - to stay in business that is necessary, but you should not have to hear any discussions related to our business operations. You are, of course, welcome to shop for better prices, but we are not focused on being the least expensive place to have your vehicle repaired. We offer the best warranty that I'm aware of for repairs (3 times what even the dealer offers) and are offering the best value of any repair facility you could choose to visit. Thank you for your business and I sure hope to see you again soon.
